Potty training help!!!!

Hello! So my daughter is a little over 2.5 years old now and we are working on potty training. She is in pull up-s and I can get her to sit on the potty consistently throughout the day, however, she always potties IN the pull ups, THEN wants to sit on the potty. She will sit on the potty, wipe her own butt, put the pull ups in the trash can and wash her hands all by herself, but for the life of me, I CANNOT figure out how to make her realize that when she sits on the potty, THAT is what it is for, not the pull ups. I still encourage her and try to explain to her, and put her solids in the toilet and flush it to try and give her an example, but she still hasn’t connected how to USE the potty. 😕 Any recommendations or help anyone can give? This is my first child, so I am COMPLETELY clueless! 😅

UPDATE: So....went 7 hours today with no panties or pull ups on and the SECOND I put her in a pull up for her nap, she pees in the pull up. 🤦‍♀️ what now?
