Hospital bad and recovery necessity’s ?

Curious what kind of pads do you use for
Recovery ? Do normal period pads work or do you need like some depends or something ? Lol 
Also buying some nursing clothes should I go one size smaller then I am now ? Or buy a few that fit me now and just wait to buy the rest after delivery ?

I’m doing Always Discreet underwear and I did buy nursing gowns to wear at the hospital and after. I am currently size
M but I got both M & L. Because I know it will probably take me awhile to get back to size M & S that I use to be.

I used regular Always Infinity pads and they were fine. I did get whatever the highest absorbency is, like the overnight heavy flow ones or whatever. You obviously have to change them more often in the beginning but it’s not a huge deal. I even used them to make my “padsicles” (frozen pads with witch hazel and aloe to soothe your sore parts). 
I also used depends and really didn’t like them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but lots of people say they’re great for postpartum. I was thrilled when mine were all gone and I could just use the regular pads again.

I used what the hospital gave me for a few days then was able to use regular pads (with wings).  Everyone’s different and after talking to multiple friends, some bleed less or more.  I have actually heard from multiple people that if you have a c-section you’ll likely bleed more (bc during vaginal you’ll get some of it out but not with a csection so it’ll come out later).  If that makes sense.  So FYI just in case!

So I’m planning to buy 1 pack of the discreet panties & then 1 pack of the overnight pads, as for nursing, I just purchased 2 bras & 2 tank tops in size XL pre pregnancy I was M-L. I didn’t wanna buy too many because nursing w my second child didn’t work out, I had to stop within 2 weeks 😕 so if breastfeeding works out I will definitely buy more & hopefully I’m a size M by that time.

I used the massive pads with wings after I ran out of the ones the hospital provided and they worked just fine! Normal pads definitely will not be enough.

I used overnight pads and big cotton underwear (got a huge pack on amazon for cheap). I also ordered a ton of nursing bras and maternity leggings cause they just felt better on the stomach. I had a 3rd degree tear so I put some aloe and tucks on my pad and I felt like a new person. Different things work for different people so i wouldn’t buy so much if one thing.
