Tongue piercing

I got my tongue re pierced last Friday and this is what it looks like today. It was pierced in the same spot. The redness is from a cherry cough drop, my throat was kind of dry. It occasionally hurts some especially after eating but my main concern is this white ring thing around it. It’s still kinda swollen and there is some whitish/yellowish discharge. Is this normal? Will this white ring go away? I’m just worried because with my last piercing by the 6th day it was like it had been there my whole life. I had the indention the first time but I had no issues so it just seems like this one is taking longer to heal. I’ve been really strict about cleaning it. I clean it twice a day when I brush my teeth plus after i eat anything. I use sterile saline (I’m a nurse so I get what’s left from work).
