Cruelty free companies
So a Facebook article from 2012 is going around again about how PETA no longer approves Avon, Mary Kay, and Estée Lauder because they have started animal testing again in other countries that require imported products to be animal tested by law. I looked it up and these companies are still selling to countries (such as China) who require animal testing, even though they do not practice it in the U.S.
I shared this article and shared a list of actual companies who are 100% cruelty free, and got serious hate from Mary Kay consultants claiming that Mary Kay is cruelty free and it’s not their fault China does it.
In my opinion, a company should not be able to say they are cruelty free if they are animal testing in even ONE country, despite their “efforts” of showing that country alternative routes and providing education.
What do you think? Is it okay for a company to say they are cruelty free and do not believe in animal testing but sell to a country who requires it?
