Our Rainbow Baby is Here!

Originally due October 3, but CJ decided to make his entrance September 24 at 10:37 am! I was 38 weeks and 5 days.

Here’s my story: I began contracting on September 23 around 7:30 pm. Contractions started out 10 mins apart so I bounced on my ball and watched tv. At 11 they were about 6 mins apart and I could no longer sit so hubby and I decided to head to the hospital. 2 weeks prior, I was 2 cm dilated. When I arrived to the hospital, I was 4 cm and 100% so they admitted me around midnight. At 3:30am I was 7cm and decided to get the epidural. I had wanted to wait as long as I could. The doctor said the baby would be here in the next 2-6 hours. I was able to nap until 7am when my water broke and I was now 9.5 cm. I pushed for about 2 hours with the best labor and delivery team! I ended up with 2 stitches and a first degree tear. All the pain was worth it the moment I laid eyes on him and I could not stop crying. He is perfect!
