Out miracle rainbow 🌈 baby boy was born after 9 miscarriages!! 🥰9:25/19: Membranes stripped at 5 PM. 1cm cervix thinned and “favorable” High BP
Got to hospital at 6
Moved to Room in labor and delivery at 8 pm
Via ultrasound, before induction, we found out he was breech. D. Resef was surprised and sorry , I think we were all so surprised he was upside down!
Moved to another room to wait for openings in the OR in the morning to try to do an external cephalic version and manually turn him.
At about 9:30 AM I was in the OR and got an epidural. There was like 15 people around me who wanted to witness the 2 docs (Dr. Canastrero and Dr. ) try to turn the baby. They said I’d only feel pressure. Well, they were wrong because I think it was the most painful thing I’ve ever gone through. I was crying in pain trying to remain as calm as possible and breathe. Nick wasn’t allowed in the OR so two workers held my hand on either side, coached me and told me I was doing great. His head was moving down but his butt wouldn’t budge and his heart rate dropped quickly to 75. Dr. C said we would wait a minute to see if it’d go back up for a minute and if not, process to a csection. His heart rate rose to 90 but Dr. C said he wasn’t happy with this and needed to get the baby out and that a bunch of fast things were supposed to happen. I asked for Nick and they said they’d get him as soon as they put the drake up. The anesthesiologist was working on the spinal tap and I still was able to move my legs and feel everything so quickly and out of nowhere, they’re putting a mask on my face and telling me they have to put me fully to sleep because the spinal tap didn’t take. I started crying even harder. I was so scared and overfilled with so many emotions. I heard one of them say they couldn’t get Nick now. He was born at 10:08 AM. When I woke up they were wheeling me into a recovery area where Nick was sitting with our son, skin to skin. All so magical and unbelievable. He’s perfectly healthy. 6 lb 10 oz and 19 inches. Breathing on his own beautifully and breastfed immediately for 40 minutes when I woke up from anesthesia. He had to come early but what a strong boy. Gestational age 37 weeks 5 days. What a blessing. I’m so in love with our little man, Noah James Dougal. I love you.
