Wedding planning! 🎊🎉💍

So this happened last week and since I don’t have that many friends who had wedding I am not sure what I need to sort out for our wedding. Both our parents had very different types of wedding. My parents basically eloped and had a very small wedding in a city hall just with two friends. Which is more closer to my idea of wedding. On the other hand his parents had proper muslim wedding with one thousand people. Which is closer to my partner’s mum idea who wants 400 people on our wedding.

I would like to have smallish wedding with maybe 60-80 people, but partner’s mum doesn’t want to hear about that.

What are your ideas? How should I explain to my mother-in-law that I’d like to plan a wedding myself and what should I sort out for a wedding for maximum 100 people?
