Frustrated

We've been in this rented home for a little under a year & we've had constant problems with the ac. It stops working about every 2 weeks on either a Friday or Saturday, having to wait until Monday to get it fixed. I have a 9 month old baby so it's a struggle to keep him cool. The temperature without the ac gets up to 85° & all we have are 3 small fan towers. Anyone have ideas of what I can possibly do to keep my baby cool besides putting a fan on him & keeping the windows open at night?
