Not eating overnight BUT

... we have a pacifier crutch. Last night my little man made it from 7pm-4am with not eating but he woke up 4 times and was gnawing his hand and talking. As soon as we give him his pacifier he passes out again. I tried to put him down without one for a night and it was terrible. He didn't sleep for over an hour before I gave in.

Anyone else go/going through this? Will it also just pass after his 4 month sleep adjustment? He seems so close to being able to sleep through the night, and this is the last hurtle.
