Tummy Sleeping???

My 3 1/2 month old little girl really wants to sleep on her stomach. She isn’t rolling over yet, but has had almost total head control since day one (crazy I know). The problem is sometimes she rubs her into what she’s laying on and/or she gets lazy and doesn’t hold her head up right... she tends to startle and wake herself when on her back. It’s getting back enough that she’s keeping me up to let her sleep on my chest/shoulder. I love her snuggles, but I can’t keep this up. 
Anyone have suggestions???

If she’s not rolling you can still Swaddle for sleeping to reduce the Moro reflex. We are big fans of the Love to Dream Swaddle Up. It keeps their hands up by their face so they can self soothe.

Stomach sleeping is not completely safe until they can roll themselves over so I don't recommend it. I know it's hard. My LO is a tummy sleeper and it was hard but I wouldn't let him until he put himself in that position. I couldn't live with myself if I placed him on his tummy and something happened. I would recommend a sleep sack. I used to place a heat pad down in his crib to warm it up a bit and took it out before laying him in so it would feel warmer like a body. I also would put my shirt flat under him so it would smell like me.

If baby can’t roll or hold their head up it is not recommended to let them sleep on their stomachs. Babies that young can suffocate and even aspirate their own spit up. Use a swaddle to help her startle reflex.

DO NOT LAY YOUR BABY ANY WAY EXCEPT THEIR BACK. It will be safe for them to sleep on their belly when they can roll over without any assistance on a surface that is flat like the mattress and not at an incline on either side.
