Refrain from alcohol before IUI

Hi ladies, I'm due to see my doc this week if AF shows to discuss my upcoming protocol for my first medicated IUI.

I read somewhere to refrain from drinking any alcohol 1 month before any fertility treatment. What's your experience or advice on this?
