Got diagnosed with cholestasis now what?

I got a call from my clinic saying I got cholestasis. That on my appointment on Friday my dr will tell me more about it. But I wanna know now lol I think it’s important right? I know they induce you but when? I’m 36 weeks today. I’m a FTM and had multiple friends that ended up with a Csection cuse the induction didn’t go good. Like what happens for it to fail? Any good outcomes from induction? I’m a nervous wreck!

I was checked for it.  They told me i would be induced by 37 weeks if it was positive.   So you're probably looking at the next week. Good luck!

Not all inductions end in c-section. If it makes you feel better the only reason mine did with my first was because he was sunny side up and did not have his chin tucked so my pushing was not getting him anywhere and I pushed for 2hrs. But I also had a swollen cervix as well for some reason so I there was a small lip I had to push through on top of him not being positioned the best. His heart rate dropped a couple times and my doctor felt it was best to do the c-section before it turned into an emergency. I agreed because I was spent and wanted my baby happy and healthy.

I’d prepare your body as much as possible. Her reasoning below definitely makes sense though. When you get induced the medicine makes your contractions so strong that they usually be effective. We are so used to reading the bad so that’s what we take about it. But if you do a poll in a group and asked who was induced and it ended up being a vaginal delivery versus induced and ended up being a c section, I feel like you never know the outcome, 
From here to now... start walking as much as possible. Have sex. Lots of sex(orgasms and semen are key) . Squats if possible! Walk some more. I’ve known I would have to get induced at 38 weeks for awhile now so at 32 weeks I started the tea. I’ll be 36 weeks tmrw and got checked yesterday. At 2 cm 80% effaced. So I know I’m not going in there from scratch!

So based on the study I just read thanks to another mamas post, it showed that inductions are LESS likely to end in a C section than those who wait for labor naturally. Keep in mind the study only included women who didn't have a medical reason to induce. From personal experience induction is a good route. My husband and I both agree it was a good experience and definitely gave him less anxiety haha. I do feel like my labor was more intense because of the medication, but I also had back labor so it's hard to compare. My cervix was "non favorable", closed and hard, so they started with cervadil, but it worked quickly and I didn't need pitocin until 12 hours in.
