Issues w bf

My bf and I have been dating 8 months. He’s taking a lot of hard classes and he’s in a lot of clubs at school. I’ve never once gotten mad at him being busy but we barely see each other anymore. I’m also always the one to ask him to hang out and I’m always asking to make plans and he never initiates it first. It makes me mad that he’s not putting in as much effort as I am. Also he stopped doing all the cute things we used to do like goodnight and good morning texts and facetime. I know it’s bc he’s doing hw but still it takes less than 30 seconds to send a sweet gn text. How do I talk to him about this? I don’t want a huge fight but I’m tired of feeling like I’m putting in so much effort and getting minimal in return.
