Any babies still hating tummy time?

My baby boy will be 16 weeks tomorrow. And we try to keep up with tummy time everyday. He just seems to still hate it so much. He’s fine the first few minutes but goes into a crying mood after. Maybe it’s just me but he seems a bit lazy, only lifts his head like once! I don’t know what to do, I try to get bright toys or just show him I’m there to get him to lift up. I’m worried he’s behind in lifting his head since I see pictures of babies on their elbows up and he hasn’t done that at all 😕

When do you do tummy time? My son doesn’t mind it but if I do it at certain times he’ll scream as soon as I put him down. Make sure you do it when he’s well rested and not hungry (but not right after a feed so he’s not sick) and make sure he’s not overstimulated either. 
I always place my son with his arms bent at his chest (so he’s in the mini push up position) - he’ll sometimes move out of this position and back into it, but i don’t think he’d be able to get himself in it from the start, if I placed his hands by his sides. My son is now able to hold his head up for ages. I’m not sure how long exactly but I’d say a good 10 or so minutes without letting it drop. I found a mirror really helped encourage this. In the early days I’d put it flat directly under him so he had to lift his head/ push up to see himself. Now I hold it out so he has to push right up and look forwards up see himself. He’s really good at this now and will do it by himself and stay like that. If you haven’t already, a mirror might be worth a try. 
When he can look forwards you can then move the mirror or another toy over to one side so he turns his head and hopefully rolls! This is all I did and now my son rolls independently all of the time. Like another comment said, after he rolls onto his back I always roll him so he’s on his front again to show him 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t think he’s anywhere near being able to go from back to front but that’s okay!! 
And don’t forget it’s a long process and it’s a new skill for baby that takes time to learn. In the U.K. rolling from front to back isn’t expected until 5-6 months so there’s no rush for him to be able to do it now. I know it’s hard seeing lots of women on here talk about what their baby can do - I honestly feel like some women think it’s a competition 🙄 - but remember, babies learn at their own pace!

So my little isn’t the biggest fan but today she was having some nude time. She just loves being nude!! We did tummy time then on the changing mat and it’s the best she has ever done it and was even smiling. I knew she had the strength as she has been trying to up her head up to sit. I’ve also notice her rolling both her legs over so I think rolling isn’t too far away 🤞🏻

My girl still hates it too! She definitely does the best after she has recently napped and eaten.
2 suggestions.. try it in a softer surface from time to time.. it wont be as much of a workout but be might enjoy it a little more (like on a bed vs a blanket on the floor) 
Also check YouTube.. some occupational therapists have made some videos showing alternative ways to build core strength and practice tummy time that I found helpful!

My son is the same. At 16 weeks I have a hard time leaving him on tummy. If I'm lucky, he'll be ok for 2-3 minutes. I'm supposed to leave him an accumulative of 20 minutes per day, but it usually end up being 10 minutes. I'm guessing he might takes longer to roll over 😪
We will see what the doctor say in 2 weeks for his 4 months check up.

My son HATES tummy time. He will lift his head up, but usually he'll just kick his legs and scream at me right away until I pick him up again. 🤷‍♀️ I still try it because everyone says it's good for them but he's just not about it. He responds better if he's on my chest, but he in general is just not about it.

have you tried propping him up on his elbows? (rather than him doing it himself?) kinda to “show” him how he could lie?
also if he starts fussing, pop him on his back again for a minute or two then flip him back (again, sort of showing him what he could be doing if he were rolling, if that makes sense??)
two days ago my little guy was doing the thing where he was rolling from his back to his side so i helped him roll over onto his tummy from that position a couple times, and today he rolled from his back to his front by himself. worth a shot though right?!
at the end of the day, baby will do things when he’s ready! 🤗
