Anyone else?

Question

Had my 39 week appointment today - 3cm & 60% effaced, baby’s station is at a level 2. We are ready for him when he is. She couldn’t strip my membranes because i am GBS+, but she did stretch my cervix. I have been having period like cramps since my appointment this morning. But they’re not consistent enough like contractions. Has anyone else experienced this and then go into labor shortly after? If so did you do anything to get things going?

I remember my parents when I was a kid say they’d go on a bumpy car ride to try to induce labor!! I did that today, 39 weeks Sunday!

I had a sweep but my cervix was still to tilted for them to reach. However it still helped a bit and I had period like cramps on and off the whole day. 2 of my friends said it was normal to feel uncomfortable like that after. Some people go into labor from it and some dont. If the pain gets stronger start timing them and maybe contact you doctor. Good luck, I hope it works!!
