Wanting a second baby

How do you all cope with desperately wanting a second baby when your SO does not? I'm having such a hard time and I am honestly so heartbroken. We are at a really good place right now in our lives. We have good steady jobs, can pay our bills, from already having a baby, we saved everything baby related, we have the room, working cars, we are engaged, everything, but he won't even consider it. I am trying so hard to be patient and not keep pushing it, but I feel so so ready and I thought we both were. I hope I'm not coming off as rude to him or that I am not respecting his wishes, but it's killing me to wait. I want our kids to be close in age. He knew that and I guess changed his mind. He said it's too much work for him, which I 100% understand, however, he would be working a welding job full time and I would become a sahm with the two kiddos and I am totally ok with it. I just don't know how to show him I care while feeling so sad and hurt.
