Crib or bassinet?

So we’re holding off on a crib until our baby is older, but we’re looking at bassinets. Are they safe for overnight? My baby will be sleeping in the same room as us, she has her own corner set up.

Get a pack and play. They will go long way for you. My daughter hated the bassinet but slept great in the top bassinet part of the pack and play. Plus weight limits are so low they won’t last as long. We loved our pack and play.

I put my girl in her pack and play right next to my bed until she was 2 months. She’s 3 months now and has been in her crib in her own room for a month. I’m not trying to deal with that transitioning bullshit when she’s older. Her room is directly across from mine, and I sleep with her baby monitor right next to my head on the night stand.

Bassinets are meant for sleeping. Our 9 week old sleeps in her SNOO next to our bed. We will move her into her nursery when she’s sleeping through the night. She wakes up for one feeding still.
