Playing with ears?

My little one constantly is rubbing his ears especially when feeding or scratching/rubbing his eyes. I know he’s tired but I can’t get him to sleep is this is way of trying to calm himself down??

It could be a sign of an ear infection. When they eat they get a ton of pressure in their ear and its very uncomfortable for them :( but my girl is doing this too and we just checked for an ear infection and she didn't have one 🤷 so it may just be him finding his ears lol.

My son does it! He doesn’t have anything wrong with his ears. He will cover his ears too when he’s sleepy

When my daughter was doing it she had built up earwax and had to have it scraped out.

He might be teething. My son has been doing that the last 2 weeks and he has a tooth erupting now.

That’s one of the first signs of teething !
