What does everyone mean by bloody show??

FTM and as I’m reading peoples posts and comments I’ve came across losing mucus plug and then bloody show? Do we bleed when our water breaks?

Bloody show is mucus plug with blood.. I never saw my bloody show but the day before I went into labor I lost a big chunk of my mucus plug but again no bloody show.. every woman is different

It is my understanding (also a ftm so please don't quote me on this) that bloody show can be a little bit of spotting that occurs as a result of your cervix beginning to dilate. I don't think it means you're about to go into Labor immediately, but that your body/cervix is preparing, which can take anywhere from hours to weeks 
Again, I'm not 100% sure of my answer though

Blood comes out with the mucus and yeah there is some bleeding that can happen.
