Black wife white husband...does it annoy you?

Does it annoy you a little when you are literally standing right next to each other talking, holding hands, with wedding bands on your fingers and people STILL assume you are not together.    Does it annoy you just a little when people assume your mixed kids (that are calling you "mama" are not yours?  I cant be the only one.  I am learning to just ignore it .....and concentrate on more important things.

I’m black and with my first (daughter who’s white with red hair) I was asked soooo many times if she’s mine or if I adopted her. My twins, ones white the other is black. I get asked if they are really twins all the time. Even now and they are 14. People are ignorant. Ignore them and be happy. Can’t fix stupid.

I’m white and my husband is indian. People have asked me on several difference occasions if my daughter is mine. Tons and tons of people have assumed my husband and I aren’t together... get to ask at restaurants if we’re separate, get separated at customs when we come back from international flights, etc etc. we’ve just learned to laugh and move on.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I sadly can not relate but that does not mean I don’t have sympathy for you and am not empathetic. I couldn’t even imagine treating you or any stranger like that. Wishing you the best! Just know your hubby and family loves you 💓

I dont care love is love. You cant choose who you fall in love with. White,black, male, female, female, or any other race. Love is love and life is to short to worry about what others think or feel about it. Live your life cause they'll live theres how ever they want too.

I let that ish roll right off. I come from a very mixed family and when I married  I just added another race to the mix. I have three kids. Two are dark and one is white. My husband and I are dark. The looks I get in public are hilarious. They look at my family and then immediately start double taking to the white kid that by the way looks nothing like either of us. If you saw my baby pictures and my dad you would see where he fits in but they all think I stole him or he is the Amazon prime guys kid!! 😂😂😂. I laugh when they then start asking questions. It always starts out with "oh what a beautiful family you have. .  .bam 99 questions. Also there is a 9 year age Gap between the first and second. That then goes to the question if they are all from the same dad. All three belong to my husband and I. 😂😂😂. Some people are just that dumb and some are just assholes. Don't let that make you one. They are nothing to you and treat them accordingly.

Never happened to me. I am white, my husband is Asian, our daughter is a clear mix between the two of us.

I feel the same way when I’m with my wife. We have a daughter and I’m pregnant with our second. We both wear wedding rings. But no matter what, every waiter asks if our checks are separate or together. Not the same situation, but frustrating!
