Who is planning/paying for your baby shower?

Okay ladies who is planning your baby shower for you and who is paying for what?
My MIL and her sister are volunteering majority of the baby shower duties, though my mom wants to be involved too. I keep looking on Pinterest at ideas I love and my husband said I shouldn’t be doing that, I should let them plan everything. But how involved am I supposed to be and what are me and my husband supposed to contribute financially?

I literally planned and paid for everything for my shower. I thought the moms were supposed to traditionally, but 🤷‍♀️

It just depends? I planned my whole shower. I made almost all of the decor items, decided on the theme, spent a good amount of time decorating on the day of. My mother, MIL, aunt, grandma, sister, SIL and a couple other family members all either contributed in helping with making centerpieces/decor or monetarily. My partner and I spent the least amount of money. I think traditionally, other people are supposed to plan, but I’m a control freak 😂

My mom, step mom and sisters will be planning mine. And I figure it will be very similar to how they planned my bridal shower - ask me for my ideas and what sort of shower/style/theme I'd like, and then go for it. If there was something specific (a gift, a decoration, etc) that I wanted, I just paid for it. But other than that, they took care of everything.

My friend was going to throw it, but my mom and MIL both got involved. I think the 3 of them split the cost. I wanted to be 0% involved in planning and had to get my husband to tell them to stop calling me because instead of talking to each other they kept calling me to ask what someone else was planning.

My mom and MILs planned and paid for my shower. They asked me a few questions about preferences (I didn’t want games) but I had nothing to do with it. I never looked at Pinterest or gave and ideas. They wanted to throw me a shower and I let them. It was absolutely perfect.

I’m not sure how it goes traditionally. My mother passed away so she wasn’t able to help with that. My boyfriend’s mom, his aunts, my aunts, and my sister all planned it. They matched the theme to my baby’s room (mermaids). I literally just showed up!

I'm not sure how it's supposed to go traditionally, but my mom and my aunt planned it all and my mom paid for everything, but my parents have a lot of money to do that. My MIL (RIP) couldn't do anything because she was wrestling with cancer at the time.
