Confusion...

So I dated this guy for about 8 months a little over a year ago. We ended on great terms both in the same place of just not being ready for each other. We talk often and still see each other frequently as we have quite a few mutual friends we go out with. This Friday we had our friendsgiving that was actually just a few of us going out for a drink. Long story short he ended up having to drive me home. I wasn’t drunk but I definitely didn’t feel comfortable driving. He had been super affectionate all night long (even more than he was when we were together), held my hand the whole way home. I ended up staying at his house and he literally cuddled me all night long. Like would not let me be where I wasn’t touching him. Saturday morning we ended up having sex and OH MY GOD. it was mind blowing. Again, better than when we were together. I hung around Saturday for a bit and he was still overly affectionate for his normal. I’m beyond confused and feeling like I’m definitely over analyzing. Opinions??

Edit to add: Also he was sober the whole night so that had no part in it.
