How long did you wait?

We just lost our first baby to a miscarriage. My heart is aching and I don’t think that it will feel whole again until we have a beautiful healthy baby. How long did you wait to try again after a miscarriage?

We tried again right away. Getting pregnant again helped me with the healing process both times.

We tried soon after the doctors gave us the clear. That's exactly how I felt I didn't feel whole  until I got my baby. Hoping everything works out.

Im so very sorry for your loss :-( We started trying immediately for a couple of reasons, but its different for everyone and I would definitely let yourself greive and come to terms with your loss if you feel like you need to before trying again. For us, it was a very early loss (right at 5 weeks), so I think it was easier to move on after losing our bub. Im still sad about it but I know for some reason it just wasnt meant to be. The reasoning we had for continuing immediately was A. People are typically more fertile following a loss, too, so we took that into consideration. B. I am in the safe zone for ttc and pregnancy after a treatment I had for a health issue that hospitalized me in Jan of this year and the treatment lasts anywhere from 1-5 years depending on the person. We want to have another kiddo before I have to recieve treatment again, so a month lost does matter to me since I already feel like Im on borrowed healthy time. Just do what feels right for you ❤
