Product recommendations??

Question

Is it necessary to buy a crib, bassinet, play pen and infant lounger or could you get away with only buying a few? I’m not sure if I should buy both a bassinet and play pen or just one. I know some people keep their children sleeping in the play pen from being a newborn until they think they’re ready for the crib. Also I realllllly want a snuggle me organic but can’t justify spending $150 dollars on an infant lounger. I know you can sometimes buy them second hand or the discounted ones on their website. Then there’s also the boppy lounger that significantly cheaper. What have you guys bought and swear by?

We had a pack n play. it’s where my daughter slept for the first 3-4 months of her life until we got a crib. We also had a swing that was a life saver.

We liked having a bassinet for the first couple of months because it was small so it didn’t take up much space in our cramped master bedroom, but I’ve heard of people using a pack n play as a bassinet and that’s perfectly acceptable. Pack n plays are also life savers when you travel, so I’d definitely buy one at some point. 
As for cribs I feel they are a must-have, and some people use cribs from birth if you have enough space in your bedroom. They’re more comfortable than a pack n play, and safer because they’re sturdier and can be used longer. My son is 2 and still absolutely loves his crib. Right now we have the mattress on the floor so he can’t climb out, but we will be installing the toddler rail in another month or so after we survive traveling over the holidays, which will allow us to use it for another year or more. The one thing on your list that I would not recommend is the expensive lounger. They’re unsafe for sleeping so they’re unnecessary. We did have a Boppy Lounger that my son liked to use, but it only lasted 6 weeks before he outgrew it. I used it next to me on the couch, on the bed, and even the kitchen island when I was cooking because it was a safe, comfortable place for him to hang out and it was easy to move around the house. They are not meant for sleeping, though, and can never be used unsupervised.

I can't justify all that, no. 
We got just a crib (if we knew we'd travel for the first year or so, we would have gotten a pack and play instead for all sleeping)
When baby is awake, they will either be wrapped on someone to soothe or eat, driving in the car in their car seat, or hanging out with one of us and they don't need a special item for that. Awake baby can do tummy time on a blanket on the floor, or otherwise hang out on a blanket. Personally I feel babies need to move around freely, so I don't like containment items except for safe sleeping.

We room share so we have a mini crib in our room at least for 6 months then they go into their own room in a full size crib. Downstairs I have a pack n play for day time use.

Both my sons went straight into sleeping in their cots. We had a second hand lie flat chair for naps for first few months, ne now also naps in his cot. Save your money

Oh my!  You can get away with just a crib.  Most people buy a pack and play but in some countries it's not recommended for sleep any longer.  A bassinet is used for the first 6 months to keep baby in the parents room so it just depends on what you want to do.  I've had four kids and never used a lounger.

I only use a pack n play for my son. Never used a crib. He went to a full size bed after a year and baby is using PNP now. She’ll go to a full size also (she’s only 3 weeks) I don’t bother using a crib or bassinet. I just got a PNP and swing for them both. And both used
