How do I tell him that I have a newborn?

So I just had a baby but I left my childs father long before he was born. That being said, I've been single for months. This guy from my past messaged me and wants to get to know me as more than a friend. I changed my social media so he doesn't know that I just had a baby. I don't want to miss out on an opportunity to be with a good guy so how do I tell him about my son? I know most people may say wait to tell him but I don't want to hide my son or lie to this person. when i started talking to my old time friend literally a week after having my son i just told him straight up he took me and my son in and loves both of us very much we recently went through something so we are struggling but he nevers turns his back to my son he sees him as his hope this helps

Honestly, I’d go for a date with him and ask him general questions, including how he feels about kids. Maybe the next date or a couple in, tell him. Just straight up tell him you have a baby and what you’re looking for. 
My friend had a kid and didn’t tell the guy she was dating until he added her social media and saw the kid. He just straight up asked her if “her daughter was named ****” and she said yeah. I don’t recommend that lol
