My response to the multiple posts about free birth control/condoms.

I saw the post the other day and can't find it to respond. I live in a Nordic country and yes taxes are 50% for most tax brackets, but guess what, all college if free, all health care is pretty much free (no medical bill has been over 100 euros and I have stayed months in a hospital) and most municipalities offer free birth control for men and women. Maternity leave is one year. Paternity leave is 3 months. It is about equality people. People who are rich and poor should have access to these basic rights just by being born a human being. You are not special and get to attend college just because you were born in a family that can afford it, any human being who goes through the fair college admissions process has just as much right as you to study even if they don't come from a family that has money...same with health care, it isn't just for people with money. All humans deserve equal access to health care. Equality is key to a great society. You don't wanna pay taxes? So sorry you live in a country where you think you are special because you have money.
