Is it fair that my boyfriend and I have assigned that I buy groceries and supplies and he pays utilities? I feel like I may be spending much more money than him on a monthly basis. Hmmm....I may have to do some calculating.

Depends on how much utilities and things are vs groceries. Can’t tell you if it’s fair because that fluctuates a lot. Electricity in my home state was like $150/month where here it’s like $30/month. Sometimes groceries can be planned to be cheap per week but it takes way more planning.

Break down the numbers. I feel the same way, I get groceries and my husband buys takeout and picks up tabs at restaurants and like Home Depot trips (homeownership, lots of trips. We then split the mortgage, utilities, etc 50/50. Then we have our own personal expenses. But I think groceries and pet supplies I am getting the short end of the stick
