Children’s/Santa’s Bodily Autonomy.

I know most of you regulars positions on children’s bodily autonomy, especially with family members. And I have to say I’m proud of y’all.

But because the “war on Christmas” is coming real soon.

Is forcing kids to sit on Santa’s lap and take a picture a violation of the child’s bodily autonomy?

I know a few years my mom wouldn’t let me and my brothers get pictures with Santa because she knew the local Santa was a creep. And I’ve read a few articles about a surprising amount of Santa’s being child molesters (big big yikes).

Edit: Also as a kid, it was a lot more comfortable to get Santa pictures when my mom was in the picture with me. And I know this to be the same for some kids too.
