Where to live in America ?

I am planning to study in USA, but I don't know where to live? I want an inexpensive, and safe city with friendly people! Please help
I get lost there are a lot of states, i don't know how to choose

What are you studying and where will you be taking classes? Wouldn't the schools you are interested in help determine what state you would be in?

I live in northern utah near Utah State University and I've lived here my whole life. Very very safe, people leave doors unlocked, keys in their car the whole thing lol. Not saying that's a smart idea just shows what a kind community we have. I am not Mormon and wasn't raised any religion and i have my complains but our community is filled with many many kind people who would do anything for anyone. Snowy in the winter hot as hell in the summer!

If you like the change of seasons, come north. I personally love the change of seasons, because i get sick of summer and I get sick of winter, so its nice that it switches up lol. I live in Pennsylvania and its not super expensive here. I love it here (for the most part) and dont ever plan on living anywhere else.
The farther down south you go, the hotter it is. In florida, its pretty much warm all year round. But you also have to consider natural disasters, like hurricanes. Many states by the water experience hurricanes.

What about Oregon (Eugene) or Portland? It really depends on what kind of weather you prefer etc. Definitely don't recommend California (I'm live in southern California) as it's WAY too expensive.

It also depends what area of the state you live in I live in McGrady North Carolina and have a 4 bedroom 2 bath house on 2 acres and only pay 300$ a month and that includes my water and it was furnished if we wanted to keep it or they took out whatever we didn’t want to use

as long as you avoid california it's fine LOL. my bf and his roommates live in a run down beach town for school and pay $5k/mo for renting a house. we're moving to sf next year and our rent will be $6k/mo in an apartment in a safe neighbourhood and with assigned parking with security. my parents could rent out their own house for $12k/mo. it's nuts and not really worth it in the grand scheme of things

Don’t go to California or Illinois 🤣 America is pretty versatile weather and geographical wise. Also each state has its own laws, regulations and economy so I would do some heavy research to make sure you are picking the right place to stay. Bonus points if you move to a state with legal weed 😂

Southern states like Arkansas are going to be way more inexpensive. Just be sure to do research about any state that your interested in studying in.

Inexpensive and safe would be somewhere in the midwestern states such as nebraska, iowa, kansas... friendly would be more southern states. Lol however! I lived in arkansas several years and id say thats the best of all three of your qualifications! ❤️
