Are there any women here with husbands in the Air Force and/or national guard? Im 24, my husband is 25 and we’ve been married for 3 years, and have 2 little girls. I’m a stay at home mom. He’s been really pushing the topic of wanting to join, says he feels continually drawn to the idea. I’m really scared, there’s so many unknowns. He makes it sound so good. Says after basic, he’d go to tech school and me and the girls can go with him. We can live on a military base and have all our bills and house paid for. He’d go to work in the morning and come home in time for supper. There’s daycares and stores and jobs all on base and we’d have the ability to travel wherever we wanted too. I’m almost certain there’s a ton of cons to it as Well. I want to support him in his dreams, but I’m also very scared at the idea of him joining. I could use any and all Information/advice possible. I told him to talk to a recruiter and go from there because I have a million questions.
