Tired of people putting down my joy!

So my 8 month old daughter says a few words.

She says mama, dada, and Gigi. She says it when she’s looking right at the correct person, and if you say “where’s dada/mama/Gigi” she looks around and then crawls right to the person.

She says dog every time we get to my moms house now and she sees the dogs.

She also says hi and waves to people.

After she dances or gets down from standing she claps for herself and says “yaaay”.

Every time I share this excitement with one of my cousins or a mom friend etc, they tell me she’s not capable of relating words to a person or thing yet.... but it seems pretty clear to us that she is.

But whether she was or wasn’t, why do people have to put others down when they are simply happy about something? 😕
