Dad may be getting kidney!!

Y’all. My dad had been sick for almost 10 years; dealing with kidney disease and now end stage renal disease. He’s been on dialysis for almost 10 years as well, had kidney cancer, got one kidney taken out, then had kidney cancer again with the remaining kidney. Almost died last year; literally called me from his job saying he was sleeping in his car (he’s been at his job for 25 years and they know all about his health, so his boss always let him go sleep in his car or her office to get his energy back up) and he could not move, his phone was in his hand and he was able to call me. His boss went to check on him and called an ambulance because they could not get him out of his car because he was really stiff. Turned out, his organs were shutting down. He retired early, (he’s only 44), and got on disability. Now, I was going to give him my kidney, but I also had bone cancer and wouldn’t be able to donate until after 5 years. My brother decided to give him his kidney. They went to the cleveland clinic to get some tests done, and they said everything looks good. They’re going to the board on Wednesday, and if everything is approved, my dad will be getting my brother’s kidney in January 😭 I just needed to share this. My dad is my best friend, I tell him everything. Even though I moved away, I’m married and pregnant with my first child, he has always helped me out and has always been present in my life. He even told me that even if things don’t work out with this kidney, he wants to go back to work part time and send me his earnings because I’m not working right now due to complications from my cancer 🥺 Anways, I’ll update when we find out if everything works out!
