discrediting my social anxiety?

Ga

any advice is welcome!

I was talking with one of my best friends the other day and my social anxiety was brung up. I was venting to him about my struggle with it and how it seems like I have almost no control over my anxieties sometimes. And he responded “blah blah blah.”

...

this isn’t the first time he’s said something like this. We have a long distance friendship and when we met up for thanksgiving, my anxiety went through the roof and although I was excited to see him, I remained quiet. He’s told me that he thought me claiming I have social anxiety “was an excuse” and not gonna lie I was shocked (I am clinically diagnosed). The couple times I do bring it up he’s attitude seems to do this: “mmm it doesn’t show over text so it’s not real. anywayss..” Not to mention he does this “you’ll be okay” or “you’ll clutch” when I’m venting about a terrible day.

Idk I feel off about it all and it’s been bothering me for a couple days. Let me know what you guys think or what y’all would do and proceed with this.

*we don’t only talk ab anxiety and I hate bringing it up. we talk about everything and anything under the sun*
