Please help
Hi guys,
My four-month old girl is wiggling a lot in her sleep. She has started rolling over onto her tummy. Early this morning, she rolled over onto her tummy and the bed sensor alarm went off (the kind that sits under the mattress and alarms loudly if it doesn't detect breathing for around 10 seconds). I ran into the room and found her face down in the mattress. I rolled her over and she woke up right away.
This event has left me absolutely horrified and traumatised. I got very little sleep after this happened and I'm so scared my little darling is going to get hurt... Or worse... I don't feel comfortable putting things other than herself in her sleeping sack inside the cot, so sleep positioners, cot bumpers and pillows are out of the question for me.
Can anyone offer any advice in this regard?
Secondly, it is so hard to get her to sleep at night. It's a combo of teething and sleep regression. I put her in her cot, she wakes up right away and starts rolling, kicking and crying. She screams loudly and just won't settle unless I'm rocking her to sleep. I started a quiet sleep routine at 7pm last night and she didn't manage to get any shut eye until 11.45pm. I've been trying to keep a strict routine with 8pm being "final" bedtime. I'm not sure what do to.
