Different pronunciation...

My husband really likes the nickname Evie for our daughter.

I am not a huge fan of the name Evelyn.

However, the name Eva is a family name and fits well except for one thing- I really don't like the pronunciation Ee-va. I prefer a softer E sound, so pronounced Eh-va (NOT A-va or Ee-va).

My question - is it too much to name her Eva and pronounce it "eh-va"? I don't want to name her something weird...
