Short or long version? Love or hate this name?

Baby boy.  Can’t decide whether to go simple with Brax or longer with Braxton.   Do you immediately think of Braxton Hicks when you hear it? lol

Everyone having kids around my age in my area has named their boys Braxton or jaxton or Paxton or Praxton. That's why I'm not a fan of any of them but brax sounds like a nickname like you're leaving a cliffhanger

Yeah I'm not a fan of Braxton, but I don't like names that end in x (Brax, dax, jax, knox) or the "axton" trend (braxton, paxton, etc.) in general. Just my preference. I'm not pregnant and never have been, but I definitely thought of Braxton hicks right away.
Personally I think something like Brenton, Brandon, or Jackson (could be jacks or jax for short) would be cute and similar enough to Braxton. But if you like Braxton, go for it!

Anyone thinking Braxton Hicks is probably pregnant. I don't think non pregnant people would really associate the name with Braxton Hicks but when were pregnant we get that baby brain and want to relate everything to pregnancy. I like the name and I would use Brax as the nickname..

Brax is more of a nickname and not really a good actual name. All three are horrible to me though. Plus it’s soooooo common.
