Is it rude for friends to ask, and keep asking, if there is a reason you're not drinking?

I am six weeks and two days, and we haven't told all of our family yet, let alone friends. We also are just now having our first doctor appointment. We planned on telling friends in December. My friend kept asking me if there was a reason I wasn't drinking at dinner a few nights ago, even after I said "no reason."
