My Grandmother ruined everything (UPDATE)

I am sooo livid. So my bf and I found out the gender of our baby last Thursday. I had this whole plan of sending out christmas scratch off gender reveal cards to all our friends and family.

I specifically told my mother, grandmother and aunts to NOT open the card or scratch it off until christmas eve (tonight) when everyone was together so that everyone would be surprised.

Cards got delivered yesterday and my grandmother went ahead and opened it (on her own) and scratched off the reveal, and the proceeded to tell everyone what I’m having. I’m soo pissed I could curse her the fuck out. I cried for a good hr after my aunt told me what she did.

Spare me the “she was excited” its not her first rodeo, yes its her first great grand child but I told her specifically my instructions and she just went ahead and did what she wanted. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

UPDATE: its very telling that those that commented and agree with what my grandmother did and are just brushing it off as “you should have just handed them out today” are just as rude and dont listen or follow instructions. Everyone else ive MAILED the cards to has waited until today to open and do the reveal. It was a simple “wait until tomorrow, when everyone is there especially my mother (her first grandchild)”

UPDATE 2: my mother who was the main person wasnt there, she told everyone that was in the house at that moment.

Its my first child and my mother’s first grandchild, she robbed my mom from a special moment that I wanted her to experience. That’s really what I’m upset about and I have all the right to be. She knows she was wrong. Card was clearly addressed to my mother.
