My pregnancy/labor story

Megan

So my baby girl Octavia wasnt suppose to be born until January 19th 2020. A couple months ago i went to the ER due to god awful chest pains that caused me to not feel like i was able to breathe, walk, talk, move, ect. Over time the pain kept getting worse and everytime i would go to the hospital they would tell me it's because my baby was pushing up on my organs. Well, last Wednesday it happened again and again i was sent home. Thursday night it got so bad i was crying and vomiting not able to move without awful pain , felt like i was having a heart attack. We went back to the ER (5th trip total) and they tried saying the same thing but the difference is they sent me up to the labor and delivery so they could double check the baby. The doctor immediately noticed my liver enzymes were insanely high and diagnosed me with HELLP syndrome. They transfered me to a new hospital because i was only 35 weeks 5 days and they couldn't deliver that early. Once arriving to this new hospital they couldn't figure out if i had irregular HELLP syndrome, Gallstones or both because so many test were coming out wacky. I eventually had to have surgery to remove sludge from my bile ducts which they said was the darkest they ever seen and even after that my tests werent right so after 5 days of being here they decided that Octavia needed to be born before things got worse. (These chest pains hurt worse than having contractions i didnt teel any contractions even beforetye epidural because the other pain was more severe)

Now, here we are 7 days later still in the hospital with a healthy (but tiny) baby girl. Moral of the story if you feel like something isn't right keep going back until they figure out what's going on because if I didn't things could have ended different. Doesn't matter how many times they say everything's fine if you feel like something just isnt right keep going back.

My little peanut born December 24th 11:44 pm 5 pounds 5 oz.
