STI Testing

I live in Canada, so not sure if it’s different from other countries or not, but when the doctor checks off the “STI” category for your bloodwork, does this test for herpes too? Or do you have to specify that you want to be tested. I tried googling and some said it does, and others say that doctors don’t typically test for herpes in a regular STI check... what does the category test for then? I know HIV isn’t included cause it has its own category.. thanks in advance!
