He keeps ghosting me

So I met this guy online, we’ve talked for a while. He’s mentioned that he’s attracted to me, but I’m not. I just want to be friends nothing more nothing less and I’ve told him that. Which he respected. So I found out he lives in my city and we live 40 minutes way from each other.

We made plans 2 weeks ago to meet up last week at the beach because it would be hot. After we briefly talked about the plans, I asked him which beach he wanted to go to. He didn’t reply for 4 days. So the day before I asked him what time he wanted to meet, still no reply. He replied to me 2 days after we were meant to meet and said he was busy trying to find a job, which he did. Because of that I wasn’t mad, he was jobless for a few months since he moved from another state. I was happy for him.

Last weekend we were talking and made plans again but to go to the movies, today (Friday). Once again I asked him what cinema we should meet at. No reply. I wished him a Merry Christmas on Wednesday and haven’t gotten anything.

It’s so frustrating because I cancelled an appointment (which I didn’t want to go to, so I’m low key happy). But that’s besides the point. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, but a message that plans are cancelled would be nice. And I was actually excited to go out because I don’t exactly talk to guys. So this was something big for me.

Just so I don’t get any hate I am not mentioning age because 😬😬 yeahh... let’s not go there.

I just needed to rant because ughh!! So I don’t think I’ll be making plans any time soon.
