Induction dragging..

Brianna

I came in at 5 pm yesterday and I was about 1 cm dilated and about 50% effaced so they gave me cervidil at 8 expecting me to get thinned out enough and even have some contractions. Well I thinned out and softened up a bit more but didn’t have many contractions and only dilated about a .5 - 1 cm more, so I was about 1.5-2 cm. Now all day ive had 3 doses of cytotec, and once again I’m softening up but not dilating anymore and not really having many contractions. I get crampy especially when they first do it, probably from them feeling my cervix right before, and then through out I’ll have some cramps but slight. With this last dose, which I got at 930 pm, I had a bit more cramps and I can feel some tightening and contractions but that basically stopped. I’m now waiting on them to give me a 4th dose orally at around 1:30. The dr told me today that if by tomorrow night I have no progression we’ll talk about a c section.. I’m on the fence but I really just want to get my baby out safely and get out of here I can’t stand being in the hospital lol. I don’t see what they’re going to do differently tomorrow If no changes.. what else could they do to give me contractions and get my cervix softer and prepared?? Can they even give me pitocin without my cervix being at a good enough place ? Can they do the balloon? I feel like we’re not getting anywhere and just wasting time and I’m getting overwhelmed from being here. I havwnt started laboring and I just want to go home. Someone give some advice or tell me about your experiences or what more they’re even able to do considering my cervix and contractions aren’t progressing. Do you believe I have no other option at this point other then c section ? I just don’t see what more they can do to get me to labor considering my cervix and if I have to get a c section I want to get it over with rather than waiting..
