Why would he keep it a secret

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 2 months now and I’m just finding out my self by a friend of mine that knows him that he has a daughter so this whole time I been with him he never mentioned that he had a daughter why would he keep it a secret from me if In relationship there has to be honesty
Update: we haven’t spoken in three days and he has been out parting none stop and I caught him with another girl kissing

Well it’s absolutely wrong that he’s keeping the fact that he has a child from you but on the other hand being a single parent and dating is a tough one. He could have kept her from you because maybe he’s afraid to open that door and he’s afraid of you not being interested. I’ve been there and to be honest not a lot of people want someone who has kids it’s messed up but it’s true. I definitely think you should address it and let him know where you stand. Hope all works out for you honey.

U have been with him only two months. Yes, you can talk about it. But two months for me is so early so early and private when it comes to the child. Maybe he either private about it and he will talk about it when he is ready. Let him decide that. Don’t ask about it.

Two months is still fairly new, he should have told you a few weeks in though. Maybe he didn't want to though until it seemed the relationship was solid?
