Husband made me return his Christmas gift

How would you feel if you picked out a nice jacket for your husband and a new hoodie, things he both needs. He doesn’t like surprises as he calls gifts but knew I got him something.

As soon as he opened the hoodie he complained about the brand and didn’t like the jacket. It just wasn’t ‘him’ he said. He made me return it and then told me it’s not a gift since I bought them with $ we share. I was heartbroken for 2 days, barely spoke to anyone.
