St. Patty’s day baby? CORRECTION: Paddy’s

I found out today that my csection is scheduled for St. Patrick’s Day (based on my Dr.’s availability from what I’m told). Initially I was concerned about my son’s birthday being on the 17th....I don’t want to give him any incentive to overindulge later in life.
Would you keep the 17th or try and change it? Clearly, I’m overthinking this, lol.

My due date is the 17th and I will do everything in my power to not have him come that day. I think being born on holidays becomes a personality trait. I know
Too many people born on st.pattys and they use it as an excuse to go to hard.

If you’re going with the 17th you’ll have to call it PADDY’s day not Patty’s not sure why everyone outside of Ireland calls it Patty’s day 😂 and to be fair just being born on a particular day means nothing. Especially that day trust me. love from Dublin x

My doctor wants to schedule mine for this day and I don’t want to. I don’t want her birthday to be on a holiday. I’m hoping to push it back by a few days. I’ll be exactly 39 weeks on the 17th.

I just wouldn’t want my kids bday on any holiday. It’s a c section, you get to choose the day so why not? Can’t hurt to ask.

Also.. wanted to mention me and my sister were born on Christmas Eve.. and it’s awful 🤷🏼‍♀️ our birthday gets overlooked

Keep it! I am hopeful our son will come that day. It just makes the idea of my son being Irish from his dads side that much more special. Also any day around a holiday people use it or even just their bday alone to over indulge.
