Mucus plug? Help!

I’m 27 weeks 3 days and a couple days ago I had what I thought was part of my mucus plug come out. Then again this morning there’s more. I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contractions and wondering if any ladies experienced the same thing but went full term. This is my second pregnancy so I know it’s normal to have Braxton Hicks much sooner but I’m still scared baby is gonna come too soon.
