How to help a runny nose in infants?

My 7 month old has a horrible runny nose & she’s just miserable. I’ve tried using the snot sucker & she has a humidifier in her room. The biggest problem is she refuses to let me use the snot sucker during the night, presumably because her nose is sore from the constant wetness. She’s just inconsolable & I’d like this to run its course as quickly as possible. Are there any remedies not just for dealing with this but to help it go away? HELP PLEASE 😩
