How can I help my 15 month old that has a cold? 😢

My poor 15 month old (almost 16) has a cold. He nose is all stuffed up and he keeps coughing. I feel so bad for him. 
What do you suggest I do to help him (especially at night) so that I can get some sleep as well. 
I have been using the saline mist and clearing his nose but he hates it so he’s crying which creates more snot 🤦🏻‍♀️ I also rubbed baby Vick’s on him last night. Any other suggestions?

We just got over a cold a few weeks ago. Humidifier in her room, steamed up the bathroom with a hot shower to get things dripping, nose frida (it makes her upset too but the moment we take it out we burst into a game of peekaboo to stop her crying) and extra boob time and cuddles.

I use zarbees chest rub and put it on my LO chest and bottoms of her feet (then put socks on) at night. I also use a humidifier during naps & nighttime. When my little one seems super uncomfortable I give her tylenol.

Zarbees cough and mucus works wonders. Since he’s over a year old he can have the children’s version with honey. We’ve been using the baby version since he was 12 weeks old and switched to the honey version after he was a year old. Works really well for congestion and we sleep with a humidifier every night.

You could try running the hot shower to steam him before bed. Lots of fluids. Also, ask your doctor is the nighttime Zarbees is ok to give him. It’s basically just honey with melatonin but we found it really helpful. They have a coughing and congestion version I think.
