So I got the Bar December 23rd, 2019 and ever since I got the bar i’ve been having a lot of unprotected sex ( with my boyfriend ) and I know my period is supposed to be messed up, I checked my period app thing and usually it said ‘you have highly contraceptive device to prevent pregnancy’ now it says this.. um what does this mean.

i’ve has the implant for about three years and this is super normal! the bar usually will make your periods very light, really infrequent or irregular, they might even stop for a short period of time. (Mine stopped for almost a year)

It’s just saying that ur period is “late”. That’s normal. But, when u have a birth control like the implant, there really isn’t any sense of being “late”, as progestin only methods are most known for causing irregular bleeding patterns. Did u have the implant inserted while on ur period? Or, did u at least wait 7 days after inserting it before not using condoms? If so, the implant is 99.9% effective & chances of pregnancy are extremely slim!
