Brown discharge/blood? TMI

Question

Hi so currently I’m about 5 weeks along and this is my first pregnancy and it looks like either brown blood or brown discharge is coming out but it’s kind of a lot and I’m really worried. I called my OB and they moved my first appt to Monday but that’s all for now so can anyone tell me if I should head to the emergency room or if I’m fine or something please haha :))

Have you been cramping or had any large clots? Some bleeding can be normal so try to rest as much as you can (pelvic rest if possible so no exercising, lifting, sex, tampons, and if you can, get off your feet and relax) but if you start to get bad cramping (lasts more than two hours straight), the blood gets red or has large clots (you’ll know them if you see them), or you fill more than a pad an hour definitely go to the ER. I know it’s scary but everything could still be fine so try to stay as calm as possible. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this but I’m wishing you all the best.
